Expiry

Expiry Terms of Use

Effective date: 7 October 2026

These terms apply to the Expiry app for iPhone, the Expiry app for Android (together, "the app") and this website. They are an agreement between you and Big Helpers Software and Solutions Private Limited ("Big Helpers", "we", "us"), registered office HIG-2, M.P. Housing Board Colony, Tikuri, Katni, Madhya Pradesh 483501, India. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

1. What Expiry is

Expiry helps you keep records of things with dates attached, such as returns, warranties, renewals, subscriptions, documents and support cases, and reminds you about them. It is an organising tool. It does not make claims, refunds or renewals on your behalf, and it is not legal, financial or consumer-law advice.

2. Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from.

3. Reminders are an aid, not a guarantee

Expiry shows the dates you confirm and, on iPhone, schedules reminders on your device. Whether a reminder appears depends on things outside our control, including your notification settings, Focus or Do Not Disturb, the device's date, time and battery, and the operating system. The current Android version lists your dates on Today and does not send notifications. Always check important deadlines with the shop, insurer, service provider or authority concerned. The dates they set are the ones that count.

4. Suggested dates and details may be wrong

Expiry reads text from documents to suggest dates, warranty ends, serial numbers and other details, using on-device text recognition and, on iPhone if you turn it on, Read with Expiry AI. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, for example when a document is blurred or a date can be read more than one way. A suggestion is only saved when you confirm it. Check each one against the original document before relying on it.

5. Your records

6. Read with Expiry AI (optional, iPhone)

If you turn it on, Read with Expiry AI sends the text of a document you choose, through our server, to an outside AI model service, or to a third-party AI provider when that service cannot answer, as the Privacy Policy explains. By using it you also accept the terms under which those services process that text. Only send text you have the right to share. The feature has a daily limit, may be unavailable at times, and may be changed or withdrawn.

7. Acceptable use

Use the app and this website lawfully. Do not:

8. Other services

The app works alongside services we do not control, such as Apple's and Google's platforms, your mail app, the stores you buy from and, if you use it, the AI provider behind Read with Expiry AI. Their own terms and policies apply to them.

9. Ownership

The app, this website, the Expiry name and logo, and their design and content (other than your records) belong to Big Helpers or its licensors. Apple, iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.

10. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

11. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Big Helpers is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a missed deadline, a reminder that did not appear, a wrong suggestion you confirmed, or records lost from your device, and our total liability to you for any claim about the app or this website is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited or excluded, including under India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

13. Changes and ending

We may update the app, change or withdraw features, or stop offering it. We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version, and important changes will be shown on this website. You can stop using Expiry at any time by deleting the app; export or back up your records first if you want to keep them.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have as a consumer to bring proceedings where you live, the courts at Katni, Madhya Pradesh have jurisdiction over disputes about them.

15. Contact and grievances

For questions, complaints or grievances about the app, write to admin@bighelpers.in, or by post to the registered office above. Help with using the app is on the Support page.
